What hardware to use, depends of course, on how you travel. But in general your hardware should be as small and light as possible. the computer shouldnt be bigger than a subnotebook or even better a PDA or a palmtop,as someone at comp.sys.palmtops said "A laptop can travel with you. A palmtop will travel with you!". The modem, built-in or PCMCIA . AC Adapter/charger which can run on both 110 and 220 currents. and a Acoustic coupler for connect through pay-phone.
