I started Technotravel back in 1995, to help me and others who needed to access the internet
While travelling. But these days, is just too easy, that the website no longer serve a purpose. [ Feb. 2002 ]
As the world gets smaller, the Internet gets bigger, there are now very few countries on this planet without Internet access, And as the Internet gets more and more integrated in our lives, more and more want to use it when they are travelling
How to access the Internet while Travelling
There are two ways to access the net while you are travelling.
One is to bring you own Computer and dial to a Global or Local ISP.
The other one is to travel without a Computer and instead use PIT - Public Internet Terminals. They both have their advantages and disadvantages.
If you bring your own computer, you can use the
programs you're used to, and dial in from wherever you can find a phone, But computers are delicate things and can be
stolen. If you instead leave your computer a home and use Public Internet Terminals at CyberCafes (and those hotels, libraries, universities etc. who have access to the Internet)
you will have no worrys about carrying equipment, Is also cheaper (sometimes even free), But first you have to find a PIT, Europe is easy but it can be difficult to find them in India.
